Modern, Chic City Elopement Styled Shoot in Downtown Columbus, OH
This stunning couple met four years ago in college at Otterbein University. When we asked them to model for us for this city elopement-styled shoot, Off Path Photography planned every detail from start to finish – including some pampering for Abbey, who modeled as our bride, before the shoot, with hair, makeup, and of course champagne!
We have actually seen a trend towards smaller, more intimate gatherings for weddings. With this styled city elopement shoot, we called in the best vendors to showcase their talents, because we wanted to show that you can have a beautifully curated wedding even if it’s stepping away from the traditional larger celebration.
Stunning, Simple, and Absolutely Perfect
The gown the bride wore was a simple slip dress, but the high slit and strappy back made a simple silhouette quite striking! Her textured ponytail was playful and perfectly matched with the boho-inspired bouquet mixed with modern touches. The groom, modeled by JC, even decided to forego the tie on his sleek black suit to give it a modern and more casual look for their city elopement. Every picture we captured absolutely popped as the textures and angles of the city’s buildings and streets played against their modern sleek lines.
Captured the Shots & Just in Time
We loved getting creative and playful with the areas we were shooting, and one spot we wanted to make sure to capture was on the rooftop at sunset. As photographers, you learn very quickly that you cannot control the weather, but you can make the weather work for you! We captured some of the most dreamy and moody shots of our bride and groom on the rooftop as the storm rolled in! And we made it back inside just before the rain came pouring down on the city, timing it perfectly.
